Inter are to decide the future of youngster Axel Bakayoko in June, according to FcInterNews.

Bakayoko is currently on a season-long loan with Ligue 2 side Sochaux, where he has made 18 appearances in all competitions and played a total of 722 minutes, but the news outlet claim that it would be ‘premature’ to try and work out now what the 20 year-old’s next step could be.

“Bakayoko is tied to Inter by a contract that will expire in 2021,” they say, “thanks to a deal that was agreed before the player left for France last summer. According to our sources, Bakayoko will return to the club at the end of the season after his loan spell has finished, but at the moment it is almost impossible to know what will happen next.”

With Inter facing the prospect of having to raise €30-40 million before 30 June, in order to comply with UEFA’s Financial Fair Play regulations, it is possible that the French winger will be sold to another club, but nothing will be decided for certain until June.
