Piero Ausilio: “We Are Lucky To Have Mauro Icardi”

Inter’s Sporting Director Piero Ausilio stopped by Premium Sport for his traditional pre-mach interview moments before kick-off between Atalanta and Inter at the Stadio Atleti Azzurri D’Italia  in Bergamo.

The Nerazzurri Sporting Director was asked about the rumours circulating that Mauro Icardi wont be called up for the World Cup by Argentina national team coach Jorge Sampaoli to which he replied: “We are lucky to have him and he has a personality that goes above everything, he has never been affected by things that happen off the pitch. Regarding his renewal I can say that we are calm and believe me that in the past three or four times we have extended his contract things have gone very quickly towards the end.”

Ausilio was asked about Cancelo’s future to which he replied: “We are professionals. There is time, we have 50 days left to reflect on what to do. However, we will think about it after May 20th before that we are focused on the league.”
