Paolo Valeri has been appointed to referee this Sunday’s match between Chievo Verona and Inter at the Stadio Marc’antonio Bentegodi with kick off scheduled for 15:00 local time.
The 39-year-old referee will be refereeing Inter this term for the fourth time having previously overseen the Juventus-Inter, Fiorentina-Inter and Inter-Bologna. It will meanwhile be his first time that Valeri has refereed a match involving Chievo this season.
Alfonso Marrazzo and Giacomo Paganessi will assist Valeri on Sunday afternoon while Fabrizio Pasqua will be the fourth official for the match that pits 5th against 16th heading in to this weekend which is the 34th match day of the 2017/18 Serie A season. Paolo Mazzoleni has been appointed to look after VAR in Verona and Giulio Dobosz will act as his assistant.
Inter will be hopeful that they can replicate the last meeting with Chievo where they ran out 5-1 winners at the start of December. A win is absolutely crucial for the Nerazzurri as they look to keep themselves in with a shout of qualifying for next season’s Champions League.
