Inter are not convinced by Shakhtar Donetsk winger Bernard as a potential signing for the following season, according to FcInterNews.
Bernard has been consistently linked with a move to the Nerazzurri over the past few months with it known that sporting director Piero Ausilio is seeking reinforcements in attack ahead of the 2018-19 campaign.
However the Italian site are sceptical about a recent report from Futbol Arena that the Brazilian has already decided to join the club and signed a pre-contract agreement ahead of a transfer in the summer.
On the contrary, they claim that talks have never properly got off the ground between Inter and the player’s entourage as the Nerazzurri don’t see him as the right profile for them.
According to them, Inter are put off both by the player’s wages (deemed to be too high) and by the commissions that they would be required to pay as part of any potential deal, but as well as that they are also not convinced that Bernard is the kind of player they are looking for.
Bernard has made 156 appearances for Shakhtar since joining the club in 2013, scoring 28 goals.
