Argentina national team coach, Jorge Sampaoli, will meet soon with Inter captain Mauro Icardi in Milano during his current tour of Italy, Sky Sport Italia report.
According to the report, Sampaoli met with Juventus players Paulo Dybala and Gonzalo Higuain in Turin earlier this week, and will now head to Milano to meet with the Nerazzurri striker. It remains to be seen after this meeting if the former Sevilla coach will soften his stance taken about a month and a half ago regarding the possibility of including Icardi in his squad for this summers FIFA World Cup in Russia.
Sky Sport report further that Icardi could be considered for the 35 man pre-selection squad that will be announced next week, on May 14th, but conclude that it is very unlikely that Icardi will be called up to the final squad as Sampaoli believes that he has better options to choose from for the Albiceleste’s attack.
