Inter are to continue their youth recruitment drive and are looking at adding more young defenders to their ranks according to a report from Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

They report that Inter are keen on Spezia’s Gabriele Corbo and remain interested in long term target Marco Varnier of Cittadella. They also stress that Inter are not alone in courting the young centre back’s.

Corbo, who is yet to debut for Spezia, has attracted interest from a number of top European clubs including German giants Bayern Munich. Varnier has made no less than 31 first team appearances this term and has many Serie A clubs fighting it out to secure his signature.

Tuttosport have also brought an update on the situation of Alessandro Bastoni who Inter signed last summer before loaning him back to Atalanta for two years.

Bastoni, who was very nearly brought back in January due to an injury crisis in defence, is to remain with Atalanta next season where he is likely to see more first team playing time.
