Inter are considering going after Barcelona’s Luis Suarez in the event of the club making the Champions League and club captain Mauro Icardi departing according to a report from Barcelona based news outlet Don Balon.

The 30-year-old Uruguayan forward’s future with the club is at risk due to the targeting of Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann and Barcelona must raise funds to afford the Frenchman and Suarez could be sacrificed in order to do so. It is understood that Suarez is seemingly prepared to have to find another club and is already evaluating offers that have arrived in the meantime.

However, Don Balon further report that Lionel Messi could put a stop to Suarez’s possible departure. The South American duo have a very good relationship and Messi’s could simply demand that Suarez is not sold and likely get his way due to his views being deeply respected by the Barcelona hierarchy.
