Musa Barrow’s agent Luigi Sorrentino confirmed Inter watched his client but confirmed any negotiations between Inter and Atalanta are yet to take place in an interview with FCInterNews.it.

“At the moment I have not heard from anyone yet. Let just say we are still far from any real negotiations taking place. Piero Ausilio was at Atalanta’s last game but I think they [Inter] are making their assessments of him for now.”

Media reports have suggested Inter could make an Alessandro Bastoni style swoop for the Gambian forward, who has scored 29 goals across 33 appearances this season in all competitions for Atalanta and their Primavera side. Inter signed Bastoni from the Bergamo club last summer but loaned him back for two years to allow him to continue his development.

Sorrentino welcomed the idea of a similar transfer taking place involving his client but could not put a price tag on him.

“I think it is the ideal solution. It is not up to me to talk about numbers, but I can not help noticing that, since Neymar’s move to PSG, the values of the players on the national and international market have changed.”
