Borussia Monchengladbach sporting director Max Eberl has not ruled out a possible sale of Nico Elvedi amid interest from Inter among others but stressed they would not give him up easily if someone was to come in for him.

“Nico has become a starter in the team, so we will not sell him so easily,” Eberl explained to German outlet Express.de.

The defender is understood to be worth around €15 million but ‘Gladbach could seek as much as €30 million to part ways with the Swiss international who only recently signed a new contract with the club that sees him tied to the Borussia Park outfit until the end of the 2020/21 season.

Elvedi arrived at the Bundesliga club back in 2015 from FC Zurich in a €4 million deal and has since made just shy of 100 appearances for Die Fohlen primarily as a right back but also as both a left back and even centre back.
