Inter target Matteo Politano has said that he will soon meet with his agent to discuss his future.
Politano has been strongly linked with a move to the Nerazzurri in recent weeks, who are looking to revamp their attacking options in wide areas after securing qualification for next season’s Champions League.
Sporting director Piero Ausilio is thought to have identified the Sassuolo forward as one of his first choices in that sense, after Politano provided the Neroverdi with 10 goals and 5 assists during the 2017-18 Serie A campaign.
Speaking to reporters following Italy’s 2-1 win over Saudi Arabia on Monday, however, the 24 year-old kept his cards close to his chest when quizzed about his future.
“I’m not thinking about it at the moment,” he said. “I’m focused on the national team and that’s it. When I’m done here I’ll meet with Sassuolo and my agent and we’ll sort out my future.
“Sassuolo are counting on me going forward, so let’s see what comes out of that meeting.”
