Gonzalo Higuain is growing further and further away from Juventus and amid links to Inter, Chelsea are understood to be ahead in the race to land the Argentine forward according to a report from Tuttosport.

Incoming Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri is eyeing a reunion with Higuain who he worked with at Napoli and with Juventus intensifying contacts with Chelsea’s Alvaro Morata recently Morata and Higuain could be exchanged with one another.

Higuain has also been rumoured with a move to Inter as part of a swap deal that would see Inter club captain swap Milan for Turin and the Turin based newspaper believe that this in fact a more viable option despite the fact that Morata has met with Juventus officials in the past few weeks.

The 31-year-old striker joined the Bianconeri for a club record €90 million fee back in 2016 and although his departure is not a certainty as of yet, the current rumours suggest that Juventus are preparing to cash in on him.
