Juventus vice-president Pavel Nedved has refused to rule out that striker Gonzalo Higuain could depart the club amid circulating reports suggesting he could be offered in some form of exchange deal for Inter captain Mauro Icardi.

“We are not worried [about the reports], Higuain is our player and has a contract with us. We will see what happens after the World Cup,” the Czech international, who spent eight seasons on the books of the Bianconeri during his playing career, told Sky Sport Italia.

Higuain arrived in Turin in a €90 million deal two seasons ago from Napoli but has failed to help Juventus toward winning the Champions League in that time. With age not on his side, Juventus are reportedly looking to find a younger striker to replace him and hopefully fire them to their first Champions League trophy in 23 years. A swap deal with Chelsea involving Alvaro Morata has also been mentioned in the press as of late also.
