Quickly after hiring Carlo Ancelotti, business has begun for Napoli.
Today the Azzurri held a meeting with Sampdoria for Lucas Torreira, one of Inter’s primary targets. Sky Sport reports that Napoli would be willing to pay €30 million for the Uruguayan midfielder, more than the €25 million clause in his contract.
This move could be triggered following the sale of Italian midfielder Jorginho to Premier League champions Manchester City for €50 million.
This would be a huge loss for Inter as they have been trying to land this signing for quite some time now and will force the management of Inter to look elsewhere for a midfielder of his stature.
Napoli will be looking to pick up where they left off and have aims to win the Scudetto next season with their new coach and his project going forward. Inter will look to do the same as they compete for Lucas Torreira’s signature.
