Despite the immense interest from powerhouse clubs across Europe, Milan Skriniar is happy to remain at Inter.

Speaking to SME Sport from the Slovakian national team’s training camp, the young defender has discussed his ever increasing value on the transfer market.

“My agent says that my price now exceeds €50 million. Two years ago, I would never have thought I’d be worth that much but it does not weigh on me at all. If the expectation was going to influence me, it would have done so already.”

Moving on, the 23 year old reiterated his desire to remain with the Nerazzurri.

“Inter gave me confidence immediately. I never expected to play from the beginning for such a big club! But there was no time for me to be surprised – I was playing often and I had to show that I was ready.

“Do I dream of playing for another team? I cannot answer that, because we might face them in the Champions League and it wouldn’t be correct.

“All I add is that, like Marek Hamsik said, if Inter wanted to sell me then I would prefer to move abroad rather than play for another Italian club.”
