Inter’s hopes of signing Sime Vrsaljko have been boosted with the news that Elseid Hysaj will be staying at Napoli according to Tuttosport.

Hysaj had been rumoured with a switch to Chelsea who looked set to appoint former Napoli manager Maurizio Sarri but it now looks like Sarri is not going to be appointed by the Premier League side.

Inter and Napoli were both keen on the Atletico Madrid right back but with Hysaj remaining, there is no longer any need for the Partenopei to bring in another right back who will be demanding first team minutes each weekend.

The Turin based newspaper further report that Napoli will now turn their attention to Sampdoria defender Bartosz Bereszynski which in turn leaves Inter with a clear path toward the Croatian defender who will replace Joao Cancelo, who Inter appear to have no chance of bringing back on a permanent basis following his loan spell.
