In an interview by AM 610, Argentinos Juniors Press Officer Adrian Perez, explained the situation concerning Nicolas Gonzalez who has been linked heavily with a move to Inter.

Perez confirmed that an offer has arrived but that the club were not satisfied by it stating: “The only reality is this: we have received an offer from Italy that we feel is insufficient. This is the only proposal that has really arrived, and then we can’t reply to everything you read about in local and national newspapers or on the radio, because it would be a hassle. Our idea is to guarantee a percentage on a future resale, especially with players of this calibre. We could not do it with Esteban Rolon but we did it with Romero; we always try to reserve these things in case of future sales.”

In conclusion, Perez was asked if the offer was €5,5 million as rumored to which he replied: “I do not want to talk about numbers, but what was mentioned comes close to what actually was proposed. But, we refused it because we deem it insufficient for the potential of the player.”
