There seems to be a menage a trois on the transfer market concerning Inter, Atletico Madrid and Barcelona according to several reports in Spanish media.

According to the reports Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid are entertaining the idea of parting ways with Croatian international full-back Sime Vrsaljko and are considering replacing him with Barcelona’s Spanish full-back Aleix Vidal.

The latter has been of interest to Inter who according to Gazzetta dello Sport has accepted a move to the Nerazzurri but only on a permanent transfer, with Sevilla and Valencia also keen on him. Simeone’s interest in Vidal could clear the path for a return to the Serie A for the former Sassuolo player Vrsaljko who is currently playing in the FIFA World Cup for Croatia.

Inter are reportedly still interested in Vrsaljko with Napoli being mentioned as interested but very unlikely given that the Partenopei have Hysaj and are on the verge of signing Lainer.
