Which shirt number will Radja Nainggolan choose at Inter has been a question on the lips of many and two of Italy’s biggest media outlets in Gazzetta dello Sport and Tuttosport have attempted to work out what number the Belgian could wear at the Nerazzurri.

Nainggolan wore the number 4 jersey at Roma but wearing it at Inter is just not possible due to number 4 being retired at Inter in honour of the legendary Javier Zanetti. 44 is also not an option due to it currently being owned by Ivan Perisic. 22 however could be used and the styling could be altered to replicate Ivan Zamorano’s famous 1+8 shirt number that he used as he couldn’t have 9 due to Ronaldo having it, Gazzetta dello Sport suggest.

Tuttosport meanwhile suggest that the Belgian, could take number 7 or 8 with both Joao Cancelo and Rafinha, who last wore the numbers, no longer with the club. Number 6, which he has worn while playing internationally with Belgium is also unavailable as the Turin based newspaper report that incoming Stefan de Vrij has had that shirt number reserved. Earlier on in his career Nainggolan wore number 21 and that jersey is also currently free and could be an option for him.
