Genoa met with Eddy Salcedo yesterday in a bid to try and convince the youngster to join Inter alongside Laurens Serpe, Genoese newspaper Il Secolo XIX has reported.

The outcome of the meeting is as yet unknown but is likely to become clear soon and could ultimately make or break the deal. The 16-year-old Colombian forward had shown hesitation about the agreed transfer to the Nerazzurri with it understood that his hesitance stems from the fact that Inter intend to use him in their Primavera side this coming season opposed to in and around the first team where he already finds himself at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris.

Inter and Genoa have a deal in place over the loaning of the duo for the duration of next season and have an option to turn the moves permanent if they so wish but Salcedo’s hesitance has held the move up from going through.
