There are still three pieces left in order to complete the Inter mosaic and a central midfielder is one of the final pieces that Sporting Director Piero Ausilio is looking to acquire Tuttosport report.
All efforts from Ausilio and Inter Chief football administrator Giovanni Gardini are aimed at Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Mousa Dembelé, who knocked out of the World Cup last night with his team Belgium.
“If no offers from China will come, Inter will open a door,” explains Italian newspaper Tuttosport. “But the fact that the Belgian international has a contract that will expire in 2019 does not stop the fact that Inter will still have to buy the player from a side that is historically very expensive to buy from. There will be a deadline also to understand how much the player himself (currently being persuaded by former national teammate Radja Nainggolan) wants to go to Inter. Should Dembelé decline Inter’s offer the club will look elsewhere for an alternative.”
As for the alternatives, Tuttosport rule out a move for Celta Vigo’s Stanislav Lobotka and Ausilio signing a Mr X.
