Inter can no longer hope of signing William Carvalho in the event of being unable to sign Mousa Dembele with the Portuguese midfielder putting pen to paper on a deal to join Spanish club Real Betis, Portuguese newspaper Record details.
Carvalho, who should be announced by the Spaniards shortly, had been identified by Nerazzurri officials as the ideal back-up option to the Belgian international, who Inter could still miss out on due to the fact there is alleged interest from China. However with the Chinese transfer window closing at midnight today, things should become much clearer on the Dembele front over the weekend if not during the start of next week.
The exact figures of the deal that will see Carvalho swap boyhood club Sporting Lisbon for the Seville based club are as yet unknown but media reports in recent days have suggested it will be in and around the €25 million mark.
