Lugano manager Guilermo Abascal has spoken ahead of his side’s glamour pre-season friendly match with Inter that will take place tonight with kick off scheduled for 20:00 CET at the Swiss club’s 15,000 capacity Comunale di Cornaredo home.

“The concept of a friendly is wrong. It is a game that falls ten days before the start of our season and it is a nice game to play in for my boys against a team that will be playing in the Champions League this season,” the 29-year-old Spanish manager told Swiss news outelt Ticinonews.ch.

Abascal, who quit football at an early age despite being a part of Barcelona’s famed La Masia academy to pursue a career in football management continued, “We will have to think about our game and our philosophy. It was difficult to find spaces against Bellinzona, and tomorrow it will be different, we will have to try and be protagonists.”
