Having gutted the Primavera squad for the sake of raising €45 million in capital gains for financial fair play purposes, Inter are looking to build the team back up and have identified Edgar Elizalde as a possible addition.

PescaraSport24 reports that initial contacts between Inter and Pescara have already taken place and further contract is expected shortly from Inter with the view of closing the deal. Pescara are looking to get around €2 million for the Uruguayan youth international and the deal could well be closed before he heads off to the Cotif L’Alcudia youth international tournament in Spain which kicks off in exactly two weeks time.

Elizalde, who holds dual Uruguayan-Spanish nationality, is primarily a left back but can play at both centre back and on the opposite flank. The 18-year-old is under contract with the Delfini through to the end of the 2021/22 season and made a total of 15 appearances last season, mostly for Pescara’s Primavera side but did make three appearances for the first team.
