Vrsaljko To Sign A Five-Year Deal With Inter

After a month of waiting, finally, the plane that many Inter fans have been waiting for landed in Milan last night from Frankfurt.

Sime Vrsaljko ended his holidays in Zagreb early, as Atletico Madrid revealed yesterday that he was officially an Inter player, pending a medical.

The player underwent his medical on Thursday afternoon and passed all of the required tests, which means that the shirt number 2 and a five-year contract worth €3 million per season in wages now await him.

He and his entourage are confident in their decision, and are reported by Thursday’s Gazzetta dello Sport as having said: “I want to play another final, I want to do with Inter. And this time, I want to win it”.

Vrsaljko will have to wait about another week before being reunited with his fellow Croatians, Marcelo Brozovic and Ivan Perisic, so he should have plenty more time to prepare for Inter’s preseason friendly against his former club, Atletico, in Madrid.
