The rumor mill concerning Luka Modric’s proposed transfer to Inter gains speed after the latest report provided by the team that revealed the deal in the first place, namely Sky Sport Italia’s transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio.
According to the report, the possibility to see Modric in an Inter shirt will be decided after the face to face meeting between the player and Real Madrid President Florentino Perez. This meeting could take place as early as Sunday when the player returns back to Madrid from his holiday break in Sardinia but could also be held early next week.
Di Marzio reports further that the “relationship between the two is very good and there is also a gentleman’s agreement between Modric and Perez that will favor a departure of the Croat whenever he should ask for a transfer.”
Inter are monitoring the situation very carefully whilst Modric’s agent Vlado Lemic and intermediary Giuseppe Riso, who together helped bring Sime Vrsaljko to the Nerazzurri, are still in Milano and keeping the contacts between the parties alive.
