Modric Could Cost Inter As Much As €160m In Total

Signing Luka Modric is difficult but not impossible for Inter in the eyes of Corriere della Sera who suggest signing Modric could cost the Nerazzurri somewhere between €150-160 million over the next four years, inclusive of the player’s salary.

Modric’s will could be decisive in whether he moves or not and he could look to enforce Real Madrid President’s promise that if he was to win three Champions League titles with the club he would be free to move on to another challenge.

At Inter Modric would be greeted with the same €10 million base salary with a potential €1.5 million in bonuses and would be given a four year contract with the club until 2022, two years longer than his contract with the Spanish capital club. Inter could look to offer between €12-15 million for a season long loan with a redemption option included set somewhere between €20-25 million to acquire the 32-year-old.

Moreover, Corriere della Sera details that Inter’s owners Suning have given the green light for the move to go ahead and while it remains an uphill battle, Inter are in fact confident they can get a deal done.
