Reports from Spain have been saying that Luca Modric does not plan on leaving Real Madrid this summer. The goal of the Croatian World Cup runner up is to renew his contract which he could see out and then retire.
According to Catalan newspaper Sport, Real Madrid will increase his salary to make sure that he does not leave Madrid. Inter have been interested in signing him over the past day or so, naming him “Mister X” in the media.
Representatives of Inter had basically put all other transfer talks on hold in order to try and complete this shocking transfer as the end of the transfer window begins to creep up around the corner.
Due to this, Inter may have missed out on their chance to sign Arturo Vidal who was ready to accept a transfer to Inter until Barcelona once again intruded on yet another potential Serie A transfer following the Malcom deal.
