Former Inter and Juventus striker Christian Vieri spoke on the impact Cristiano Ronaldo’s arrival at the Allianz Stadium will have on Italian football.
“There are no words. The fact that Cristiano has agreed to come to Italy makes it clear how great Juventus is, and for our football in general it was like winning the lottery. It will be more beautiful to see and comment on Serie A as of today. The whole world will start looking back at our championship, and this is thanks to Cristiano Ronaldo and Juventus.”
As part of the interview with Gazzetta dello Sport, Bobo also spoke on Inter and reiterated the importance of qualifying for the Champions League each year.
“Luciano Spalletti is great, I like him because he is always in control of his teams. This is becoming a great group and they have had a good transfer window, they have made smart moves and will come again, I am sure. The Nerazzurri must stay in the Champions League every year, there is no alternative.”
Vieri returned to speak about Juventus and their squad depth.
“You look at Juventus’ squad and you think it is unbeatable. There are 24-25 possible starters. Allegri could field a team in the league and another in the Champions League. The truth is that around the world I think there are only three teams that can boast a team better or equal to that of Juventus and they are Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich.”
