Monaco coach Leonardo Jardim has released the list of the nineteen players called up for the Principality’s team debut for tomorrow afternoon’s season opener against Nantes.
One notable absence is that of Keita Balde, whose name is also not listed among the unavailable due to injury, as these are, among others, Andrea Raggi, Pietro Pellegri and newcomer Alexander Golovin.
The Senegalese striker, is Inter’s final idea for the attack and yesterday he had trained separately from the squad. Now, the missed call for the first match in Ligue 1, is perhaps another possible clue on the status of the negotiation.
After five successful years with Lazio in Serie A, Keita was snapped up by the French side last summer, despite serious interest from the Nerazzurri. A largely difficult first season in France, but Keita was still able to notch up eight goals for his side and at still only 23 years old, he has a lot of time to live up to his potential.
