Kwadwo Asamoah will be available for selection for this weekend’s Serie A opener despite picking up a knock in the final pre-season friendly with Atletico Madrid over the weekend according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

While the Ghanaian defender will be available, one player who will not be available to Luciano Spalletti for the match against Sassuolo will be midfielder Radja Nainggolan. The Belgian midfielder picked up a thigh injury during Inter’s second pre-season match with Sion in mid-July and has not taken to the pitch since with no expected return date known yet.

World Cup finalists Sime Vrsaljko and Ivan Perisic are working hard to make themselves available for the match. The duo returned to training on Friday and will be in training today at Appiano Gentile in a bid to further increase their fitness levels while the rest of the team enjoy a day off following the aforementioned friendly with Atletico.
