World football’s governing body FIFA have served Inter with a notice of a complaint from Spanish giants Real Madrid that comes following the Luka Modric transfer saga.

According to Sky Sport journalist Massimiliano Nebuloni, Inter received the notice after Real Madrid reported them to FIFA following their alleged behaviour during their courting of Modric – a courtship that has ultimately come to absolutely nothing and Modric remaining at the Santiago Bernabeu, where he has played his football since a move from Tottenham Hotspur back in 2012.

Inter responded to the notice and maintain that the way that they acted in the way they went after the 32-year-old Croatian international over the past few weeks has in fact been ‘entirely legitmate’ despite Los Blancos claiming otherwise.

Moreover, the notice warns that possible legal action could take place against the Nerazzurri although details of any potential consequences that Inter may face were not disclosed.
