Italian journalist Maurizio Pistocchi believes Inter manager Luciano Spalletti made the wrong decision when it came to deploying Inter in a 4-4-2 formation last night as they started off the season with a 1-0 defeat to Sassuolo.
“Refereeing and VAR errors of Valeri aside, it is not good for the Nerazzurri. Inter were wrong in their choices of deploying Dalbert low and Asamoah high in a 4-4-2 formation. Spalletti should think about a 4-3-3, best suited to Brozovic, Gagliardini and Nainggolan, who are less risky choices,” Pistocchi posted to his official Instagram account.
