Inter coach Luciano Spalletti also took the time to talk to Inter TV after the bitter defeat against Reggio-Emilia side Sassuolo int eh opening match of the Serie A season.
“We have to do better than we did tonight, but from an objective point of view we found ourselves in counterattack situations that finally made us conceive a goal. We knew it would be a game like this, with them on the counterattack, but we did not have to put ourselves in these situations, where we lost the ball and let them counterattack” Spalletti began.
“We finished the game with Vecino as a central midfielder, Perisic to the left and Keita behind Icardi with Karamoh to the right. The last substitution was in order to profit from the fact that we lined up for set pieces – therefore wanting the tall guys up top. Leaving the shorter ones at the back meant that we did not have to spend too much energy in recuperating the ball. It is always tough to lose” the former Roma coach concluded.
