Agya Asamoah, the father of new Inter signing Kwadwo Asamoah, has hinted that Inter have postponed Kwadwo’s return to the Ghanian national team. Agya spoke to Sikka FM Sports about the situation.

“Kwadwo will be called up for the national team for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against Kenya, but Inter are the ones that will have the last say as to whether or not Kwadwo will respond to that call.”

Kwadwo Asamoah has not played for his national team for 4 years, but now the coach, Kwesi Appiah, has said that he is ready to return for the game against Kenya. Asamoah’s father also decided to clear the rumors about his son’s absence from the national team by stating that it was not entirely due to the presence of the Ayew brothers in the team, as someone had previously claimed.

Kwadwo Asamoah joined Inter this Summer on a free transfer and has been one of the better performers so far for the Nerazzurri. He has been very versatile as he played at left back, in midfield, and even on the wing.
