Fiorentina coach Stefano Pioli was interviewed by Corriere dello Sport and gave his thoughts on the best players in his opinion and the Serie A transfer market:
“I think Ronaldo is superior to Messi, he is a who that has scored more goals than games played, and Higuain also remains one of the best.”
Napoli has focused on Ancelotti, is he a guarantee?
“Yes. They gave away a football teacher in Sarri and brought in a football genius and one of the best coaches in the world in Carlo Ancelotti. And they had a good transfer market too, bringing in players like Verdi and Fabian Ruiz.”
Roma has also focused on bringing in young talent like Kluivert.
“They have had an interesting market in which they sold Alisson and Nainggolan and have relied on younger prospects, but I am convinced that in the long run they will become stronger. Monchi is someone who has an eye for potential. They have done what we have been doing in our own way.”
What about Lazio?
“Not selling Milinkovic-Savic was very important for them, and although they have lost De Vrij, they brought in Acerbi to replace him.”
Who is the anti-Juve for the scudetto?
“Inter.”
