Sacchi: “Spalletti Has A Lot Of Work To Do At Inter”

In an extended interview, legendary Italian manager Arrigo Sacchi spoke on the five or six teams who are capable of challenging Juventus for the title, including Inter.

“Inter are an enigma, but it is no wonder. In fact I rather marvel at those who did not expect it. For seven or eight years the have ‘won the transfer window’ but they never manage to have consistency,” Sacchi explained in an interview with Corriere della Sera.

“Luciano Spalletti has a lot of work to do, both on the pitch and in the players’ heads. We will see how they manage the Champions League.”

Sacchi, who most famously managed Milan in the late 1980s and early 1990s also labelled Juventus as “super-favourites” to go all the way and win an eight straight scudetto.

“Juve are not favourites, they are super-favourites. Juventus bought a champion, not the championship. Cristiano Ronaldo is absolutely extraordinary and he will make Juventus even stronger.
