Inter Has Sold As Many Season Tickets This Season As After The Treble

Milan based newspaper Gazzetto dello Sport discusses and underlines the great affection and the heavy expectations that have been placed on Spalletti’s team by looking at average attendances and the number of season ticket holders this season and over the past few seasons since Inter’s historic treble.

In 2010, after winning the treble, over 60,000 fans showed up to the debut game of the season at the San Siro (62,014 to be precise.) Therefore, we are more or less at those levels now.

The club has succeeded in retaining fans by raising the number of season tickets (currently around 37,000 season tickets) and that has not happened since the 2010-2011 season, after the treble. Inter have followed the English strategy of ticketing, which invites fans to purchase season tickets as they save money as opposed to buying tickets for individual matches. Last year, Inter topped the Serie A with the highest average league attendance with 57,000 fans at the San Siro.
