Inter’s Italian winger Matteo Politano stopped by Inter TV to analyze the disappointing 2-2 draw at home at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district against Torino.
The former Sassuolo player was visibly disappointed stating that: “There is a lot of regret given the first 45 minutes where we played some great football. After the break we weren’t good enough to react, but we cannot allow this to happen as we are Inter. I am sorry for all the fans.”
Politano was asked about his thoughts on the change in formation to which he replied: “We started playing in a 3-4-2-1 in order to be close to Icardi. Then we returned to a 4-2-3-1 but it is not a question of the formation, unfortunately we did not do well in the second half. Now we have to get back to winning ways against Bologna by taking the first 45 minutes with us. We will begin already tomorrow to understand what did not go well in the second half.”
In conclusion Politano was asked about making his debut for Inter at the San Siro: “I was very emotional in the beginning but then I loosened up a bit. It is a shame we didn’t get the three points. I also had a chance when I headed the ball in the first half where I should have done better.”
