Inter matched a brilliant first half performance with a shocking second half display which meant that it ended 2-2 at home against Torino at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district.
Luciano Spalletti’s men dominated the first 45 minutes against former Nerazzurri coach Walter Mazzarri’s side going 2-0 up thanks to goals from Ivan Perisic and Stefan De Vrij. However, the Nerazzurri barely turned up in the second half as former Inter player Adem Ljajic was given acres of space after coming on and together with Iago Falque they were integral to Torino’s heroic comeback.
One point after the first two opening matches against two teams that are arguably bogey teams for the Nerazzurri as Inter scraped together 2 points out of a maximum 12 against Sassuolo and Torino last season.
