Italian journalist Matteo Marani has downplayed the idea that Inter are the anti-Juventus as they have been described in the media.
“It is not like that with a good performance in the transfer market you automatically become a team capable of winning the Scudetto…Maybe you are capable in the eyes of the newspapers, it is part of the game, but then this must be translated on to the pitch,” Marani said in an interview with Sky Sport.
“Inter historically has this fragility about them. How many summers has it been said that they can go for a Scudetto but then it goes wrong?”
Marani also refused to buy in to the idea that Radja Nainggolan can transform Inter on his own.
“He is not a player player that can change a team, unless he is Diego Maradona or Ronaldo, but the Ninja can bring a lot in terms of leadership.”
