Italian pundit Mario Sconcerti spoke to Corriere dello Sera about Inter’s win against Bologna last night and Nainggolan’s brilliance during the game.
“Inter won a game against an easy opponent who really tried to defend themselves very well, but it was Radja Nainggolan who broke the deadlock and began Inter’s goal-scoring spree. Nainggolan was the secret to opening up the game.”
He went on to discuss the importance of having players who are capable of beating their man in order to gain an advantageous position:
“Inter today, unlike a year ago, have many players who have quick feet and can make quick moves with the ball. Not only Nainggollan, who has the ability to play anywhere, but also Keita, Perisic, and Politano. When Inter move quickly with the ball, it is very similar to how Juve play, and that is what opened up the game. The only question left is when will Lautaro start playing, but we there will be an answer for this in the future.”
Lautaro Martinez remained on the bench due to a strain in his calf.
