Spalletti To Exclude One Of Candreva, Vecino & Gagliardini From Inter’s Champions League Squad

Turin based newspaper Tuttosport discusses Candreva’s case in regards to his possible exclusion from Inter’s UEFA Champions League list.

In addition to Tomasso Berni, Joao Mario, and Dalbert, Spalletti is considering who the final player he must exclude will be. His options are Antonio Candreva, Matias Vecino, and Roberto Gagliardini.

Tuttosport reports that: “It is difficult to imagine that Vecino will be the one excluded, which leaves only Gagliardini and Candreva, both of whom have yet to set foot onto the pitch for Inter this season. Spalletti might have hinted at Candreva being at the bottom of the pecking order as he subbed in three wingers Perisic, Keita, and Karamoh against Sassuolo whilst leaving Candreva on the bench.

“It was also Candreva who rejected the offer that would have sent him to Monaco in the initial deal for Keita. With all things taken into account, it seems that Candreva is the most likely player to be excluded from the Champions League list. The times have really changed for Inter and Candreva, who had 33 starts last season” Tuttosport concludes.
