Former Inter defender and current manager of Cremonese Andrea Mandorlini has voiced his opinion on the idea of Inter being the anti-Juventus this season.

“It is normal for them to have certain expectations. Sure, it takes a little time, but the first two results are puzzling. Inter have prospects but I am not sure if they can be called the anti-Juventus.”

Mandorlini, who spent seven years with Inter between 1984 and 1991 then spoke on what he believes is the Nerazzurri’s main weakness.

“The biggest weakness is the ease with which they concede goals in certain circumstances but it has to be remembered that the Serie A is a difficult league.”

Mandorlini concluded the interview with RMC Sport by speaking on summer addition Matteo Politano, who arrived at the San Siro from Sassuolo on a season long loan deal with Inter having an option to turn the move permanent.

“At this stage of the season he has been among the most positive things for Inter. He is an ideal player for 4-3-3. If his good form continues the doors of the National team will soon also open for him.”
