Barcelona sporting director Ariedo Braida has reflected on the Champions League group stage draw that has seen the Blaugrana placed in the same group as Inter, Tottenham Hotspur and PSV Eindhoven.

“Barcelona are aware of being one of the most important teams in the world but these matches must be tackled in the right way,” Braida insisted in an interview with Radio Rai.

“Easy games exist only in theory, football is like this and you have to prepare well for them all. Of course, when you have players of a certain level like Lionel Messi and Philippe Coutinho it is clear and obvious that the task at hand is made that bit easier. In football there are always surprises though and this is part of the beauty of the game.

“I hope that Barça will beat both Inter and Tottenham. Barcelona can not afford to be afraid, we are a team that knows that matches must be tackled in the right way.”
