Inter are now no longer almost exclusively relying on Mauro Icardi to deliver goals week in week out as evidenced by the multitude of goalscorers so far this season, that does not even include the Argentine yet, Milan based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport detail.

Last season Icardi accounted for no less than 44% of Inter’s 66 league goals (29) but of the five league goals scored so far this season, there have been four different goalscorers in Stefan de Vrij, Radja Nainggolan, Antonio Candreva and Ivan Perisic, who has two goals to his name.

Icardi is yet to get off the mark, as aforementioned, but it certainly will not be long until the Argentine, who has over 100 goals for Inter, starts scoring.

While the season is still only in its relative infancy, Inter manager Luciano Spalletti will no doubt have the seasonal goal record of 90 – achieved during the 2016/17 season while he was in charge of Roma – in his sights for this season.
