Italian journalist Mario Sconcerti has taken a look at Juventus’ challengers to take the scudetto from them this season and believes a lot of sides have taken a step back compared to last season.

“There are teams behind Juve still to be built, not one has kept the form of last season. Perhaps only Inter has made progress even within its indecipherable character. Juventus too have changed a lot of course, in fact they are still trying to work out Cristiano Ronaldo. However, overall the teams mentality has never been questioned,” Sconcerti wrote in his weekly column for newspaper Corriere della Sera.

The Bianconeri are the only side with a perfect record after three games played in the league and will look to extend that feat for a further week when they take on second placed Sassuolo in the first match back after the two week international break that is ongoing.
