Inter Legend Altobelli: “Icardi Is An Excellent Player, Great Captain & Serious Professional”

Inter legend Alessandro Altobelli has revealed he hopes Mauro Icardi betters his goalscoring record for the club in the years to come.

Altobelli is Inter’s second highest goalscorer of all time with 209 goals to his name across all competitions while Icardi is currently ninth on the all-time scoring charts at the club with 107 goals.

“I would like to be overtaken by you in the number of goals scored with Inter because you are an excellent player, great captain and serious professional, and when you get to 209 goals I will come to congratulate you,” Altobelli posted to his official Instagram account.
