Dan Kweku Yeboah, the public relations officer of the national team of Ghana, wanted to reassure the Ghanaian supporters about the condition of Kwadwo Asamoah. The Inter defender had a slight physical problem during the training with the African National team in Addis Ababa.

Yeboah has clarified the situation in an interview with Nhyira FM: “It is not true that he is injured, the fans of Ghana must rest assured, I was surprised to have read on some sites that the player was injured today, it was probably an Ethiopian journalist reported the news after seeing the player with ice on his ankle, but he is ready to play with the Black Stars.

“He decided to put ice on his ankle after training for an hour and a half of the two hours that was planned. I approached him to ask him about it and he told me that he suffered a light blow with Inter, but Luciano Spalletti still called him for the last game where he played the full 90 minutes. For this reason, he decided to put the ice on the affected area. “A false alarm, in short, which is certainly a relief also for Inter” Yeboah concludes.
