Former Inter coach Kevin Cauet has spoken on Inter’s faltering start to the campaign in an interview with Sport Italia.

“It was correct to expect a different start from Inter, which has a team able to finish in the top three. Spalletti tried to revive certain players and tried some different systems but this led to them losing some points along the road.

“Against Bologna an important victory arrived and was achieved with a set-up in the field that will allow everyone to be used in the best possible conditions. I also liked the fact that the substitutes were decisive, particularly Antonio Candreva.”

Cauet also spoke on Inter midfielder Radja Nainggolan and the nightclub controversy.

“There is no question about his ability. It is easy to do stories about him attending a nightclub but it was committed that he did not have to play the next day and the fact that he had trained correctly in spite of it.”
