Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport report that Milan Skriniar and Inter are unable to come to an agreement with regards to a contract renewal.

“Inter and Skriniar are still far from an agreement on a contract extension. The two parties are not even close to a signature. The negotiations have been put on hold as the player’s current contract expires in 2022, which is still a very long way to go. The remaining length of the contract puts Inter in a position of comfort.”

According to the report, Inter would like to increase Skriniar’s salary from €1.7 million per season to €2.5 million. However, the player’s agent, Karol Csonto, has rejected this offer and is requesting €3 million net per season per season.

“Inter are considering this renewal as a sign of recognition to show their appreciation for the player’s wonderful performance from last season, while Skriniar would like to be treated as a new signing and wants wages that match the offers that he had received during the summer  with Manchester United €65 million offer to Inter being the most noteworthy” the Gazzetta reports.
